Air Sanitizing and Filtration
The air inside your home can carry more contaminants than outdoor air. We offer the SFS standalone air sanitizer and electrostatic washable HVAC filters to address indoor air quality from two different angles.
Indoor air is often worse than outdoor
Modern homes are well-sealed and well-insulated. That's good for heating and cooling bills. It is not good for air quality. Airborne particles, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, and volatile organic compounds from furniture and cleaning products accumulate indoors.
- The EPA estimates indoor air is often 2 to 5 times more polluted than outdoor air
- Americans spend roughly 90 percent of their time indoors
- Allergy and asthma symptoms are often significantly worse indoors than outside
- Common culprits include dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, and off-gassing from furniture and carpet
Active sanitizing, not just filtering
The SFS is a standalone unit that plugs into a standard outlet and sits anywhere in your home. It actively sanitizes the air around it continuously, without filters to change or chemicals to add.
- Standalone unit. No HVAC connection required. Place it anywhere there is an outlet.
- Continuous operation. Runs 24 hours a day without any intervention.
- Annual filter service required. The SFS uses two carbon-zeolite filters and a primary particulate filter that must be replaced annually. This keeps the system performing and maintains the lifetime warranty.
- Lifetime warranty. The SFS carries a lifetime warranty when annual filter service is kept current. Risk-free trial available before you commit.
How air moves through the SFS
- 1-2. Room air is drawn in from the base
- 3. Air enters the lower chamber
- 4. Activated oxygen treatment stage
- 5. Germicidal frequency treatment
- 6. Secondary treatment chamber
- 7. Sanitized air exhausted from the top
- 8. Control and monitoring panel
Electrostatic washable HVAC filters
We also carry electrostatic washable HVAC filters for customers who want better filtration through their existing forced-air system. These are a different product from the SFS but a great complement to it.
- Lifetime filters. Wash and reuse instead of buying disposable filters every month.
- Electrostatic charge attracts and holds fine particles that standard fiberglass filters miss.
- Better airflow than high-MERV disposable filters, which can restrict your HVAC system.
- Saves money long-term with no ongoing filter replacement cost.
Standard vs electrostatic
Standard fiberglass filters catch large particles and little else. Electrostatic filters use a static charge to pull in fine dust, pollen, and pet dander that would otherwise pass straight through.
Cost comparison
A family replacing 1-inch filters monthly can easily spend $60 to $100 per year. A lifetime electrostatic filter pays for itself quickly and reduces landfill waste.
A good fit for these households
Allergy sufferers
If seasonal allergies follow you indoors or you react to dust and pet dander at home, active air sanitizing can make a noticeable difference.
Asthma households
Reducing airborne triggers is a key part of asthma management. The SFS runs continuously so you are not dependent on remembering to switch on a purifier.
Homes with pets
Pet dander is one of the most persistent indoor air contaminants. Active sanitizing helps manage dander, odors, and the microbial load pets bring indoors.
Families with young children
Children spend more time on floors where settled particles concentrate. A cleaner air environment matters more in homes with babies and toddlers.
